Rhona is a Professional Individual & Relationship Coach who works with Leaders, Parents, Couples (and other personal relationships), and Co-Leaders/Business Partners to increase positive communication, productive conflict, and fulfillment in personal and professional relationship systems. (A relationship system is any grouping of two or more people.)

In addition to her work as a compassionate, incisive, and fun coach, Rhona is a skilled speaker and trainer. She delivers workshops to parents, birth professionals, educators, and teams. As an author, a recovering academic—Rhona taught at the University of California at Irvine for nine years—and someone with experience as a senior executive and online business consultant, she brings a breadth of experience to her coaching.

Rhona is a credentialed Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, received her coaching certification from The Coaches Training Institute, and completed the prestigious Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching program at the Center for Right Relationship. Rhona is an Educator for the Gottman Institute’s Bringing Baby Home program, a Leader for the Gottmans’ workshop, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work (based on the bestselling book by the same name), and a Trainer & Consultant for Toolbox Project®—a research-based K-6 Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program. 

Rhona is also a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, a Certified Trainer for SANITY SCHOOL® Live—Parent Management Training for those with complex, including neurodivergent, kids—and a provider for the Enhanced Gottman Relationship Checkup. Rhona completed Level 1 of the Developmental Model Training Program at The Couples Institute, advanced professional training in the ND Compass—a proprietary “playbook” for neurodiverse relationshipsand Sue Johnson’s Hold Me Tight workshop. Additional trainings include: BeAbove Leadership’s Seven Levels of Human Relationship, and segments one and two of Neuroscience for the Advanced Coach. Rhona completed two programs at Coaches Rising: The Power of Embodied Transformation, a somatic coaching curriculum, and Neuroscience of Change, which applies discoveries in neuroscience to coaching. She is also trained in Positive Intelligence. Rhona holds degrees in Communications & Media Studies from McGill University & UCLA. 

With her colleague, Tina Stanley, MSW, LCSW, Rhona co-authored Fight Right for Your Baby: The How-To Guide for Expecting and New Parents to Shift from Conflict to Connection (2023). 

Rhona lives in Northern California with her wife, two fiery kids, cat-obsessed dog, and dog-harassing cat.

As an author and recovering academic—Rhona was an Associate Professor at UC-Irvine for close to a decade—and a former business executive and consultant, Rhona brings a breadth of experience to her coaching.
