CO-PARENTS

Collaborate for your kids

For years Rhona’s motto was: “Helping parents stay sane and stay together.” When she began working with co-parents, she added “and helping you stay sane while parenting apart.” While she liked that addendum, it failed to capture the core of her work with co-parents: It isn’t just about staying sane, it’s about collaborating in service of your children’s wellbeing, and your own individual and relationship growth.

As much as some of you no longer want to be in a relationship of any kind with your ex, co-parenting forces and invites you to tap into your competent inner adult in service of your kids. Effective co-parent coaching is as much about focusing on your devotion to your children’s developmental health as it is about increasing collaboration and effective communication with someone with whom you likely had (or have) conflict, and by whom you sometimes or often feel triggered.

While learning to co-parent capably is not for the faint of heart, the payoffs are exponential in all areas of your life. Co-parent coaching with Rhona helps you:

Replace negative conflict with productive, healthy, and respectful disagreement.

Increase and enhance mutual understanding, regardless of whether or not you agree.

Model personal accountability for your kids, and in service of co-parenting effectiveness.

Learn to compromise productively and without lingering resentment.

Establish and maintain your boundaries kindly and firmly.

Practice self-regulation and respectful communication, even and especially when you’d prefer to lash out.

Return over and over again to your number one priority: What is best for your kids?
